Runway trends come and go, but a few each year genuinely deserve a place in real life. We tested the season's biggest makeup moments in the atelier — on real skin, under real light — and these ten made the cut.
1–3: The skin revolution
Skin tints over foundation. Sheer, flexible coverage that lets freckles and texture show through. Apply with fingers, blot where shiny, done. Underpainting. Contour and blush go on before base, so the finish looks lit from within rather than painted on. Cloud blush. Cream blush placed high on the cheekbone and blended upward — an instant lift with no stripes.
4–6: Eyes take the stage
Chrome lids. One metallic wash across the lid, no cut crease required — molten silver and warm copper flatter everyone. Smudged liner. Precision is out; a kohl pencil melted along the lash line with a brush is in. Feathered brows. Brushed up and set with clear gel, filled only where sparse. The laminated look, softened.
Wear the trend at 70% intensity and it reads modern. At 100% it reads costume — save that for the photoshoot.
7–10: Lips and finishing touches
Blurred lips. Lipstick pressed in with a fingertip and blotted — a stain, not a shape. Gloss revival. Non-sticky oils over bare lips for a hydrated shine. Monochrome. One shade across eyes, cheeks and lips ties everything together in seconds. Setting intelligence. Powder only where you crease, mist everywhere else — longevity without flatness.
